The Great Achievers Initiative Youth and Community Development (GAIYD) team on the 15th – 17th of July 2024 organized a “Train the trainers” program on Drugs Prevention, Treatment and Care(DPTC) under the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA). The training was organized to educate the team about Drug abuse and it’s related terms, Drug use situation in Nigeria, Long and short term effects, Harm reduction, Preventive Measures and many more.
Drug abuse also known as substance use is now an alarming issue in our society. It is very common amongst our youths and needs to be curbed and also needs awareness in the communities through DPTC (Drug Prevention, Treatment, Care) in order to sensitize the community on the negative effects of drug abuse.
