This year’s summit chaired by our convener, Amb. As we reflect on this event, we are proud to share our accomplishments and highlights for the year as well such as:
GAIYD Highlights for 2024
- Courtesy visits to schools and governmental bodies.
- Sensitization exercises to 28 schools, empowering 2,380 boys.
- A national essay competition held on the 16th May to celebrate the international day of the boy child, involving about 38 schools with winners receiving scholarships .
- A train the trainer program in collaboration with the NDLEA on DPTC and a certificate of participation issued to the participants.
- A rally at Jabilake side themed “The voice of the boy child needs to be heard” this featured medical checkups and an opportunity for more persons to join us for greater impact.
- Finally, on the 1st of October, the GAIYD team in partnership with GYSAPEO carried out a “clean 9ja initiative” exercise using the opportunity to clean and educate the community.
