GAIYD Sensitization visit to Melchizedex Academy

On the 21st of March 2025, The GAIYD team lead by Amb. Dr. Hillary Akpua visited the Melchizedex Academy, which was carried out in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). This program aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyles among students across several schools in Abuja.
Over the course of the program, our team, alongside Mr. Justice Adamu – NDLEA representative, and Mrs. Jane Williams, once again engaged with students, teachers, and staff through a series of interactive sessions. The sessions focused on educating young people about the risks associated with drug abuse, the importance of making informed decisions, coping skills, the importance of taking care of their bodies, and the available resources for support and prevention.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to NDLEA for their continued collaboration and to all the schools, teachers, and students who made this initiative a success. Together, we are helping to empower the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to live drug-free lives.
We were able to sensitize 75 boys and 5 teachers at the Melchizedex Academy.
