GAIYD Visit to NBTE

The  GAIYD team led by the founder of the Amb.Hillary Akpua paid a courtsy visit to the national secretary of  National Board For Technical Education(NBTE),Mr.Mr Bello Abdul-Hakeem.NBTE is responsible for identifying the minimum standards for technical institutions.Other collage sunder NBTE include mono-techniques e.g universities of agriculture, school of mid-wifely.V.E.I- vocational enterprise institutes Mono-techniques under NBTE include 90 federal collages,37 private colleges, 53 state collages. NBTE is an inspectorate/regulatory body that looks out for these institution, monitors and supervise to make sure they are up to standard. NBTE serves as an internal and external audits to these collages/ polytechnics.

Mr Bello Abdul-Hakeem went further to talk about the NAQF program with the GAIYD team

What is NSQF?

NSQF which stands for- Nigerian skills qualifications framework is a system for the development, classification and recognition of skills, knowledge, understanding and competencies acquired by individuals, irrespective of where and how the training or skill was acquired. The system gives a clear statement of what the learner must know or be able to do, whether the learning took place in a classroom, on-the-job or less formally. At the end of the program the participant will certified and given a certificate. It is a national certification with an international recognition.

Areas of common interests were discussed between GAIYD AND NBTE.Both parties agreed to come up with areas of interest in writing to the executive secretary
